Kingsham Farm

A compact Palladian inspired country house in coursed rubble stone with ashlar dressings. It has a simple seven-bay elevation with pediments on the entrance and garden fronts. The entrance has an elaborate stone doorcase carved with splayed sides and a scrolled open pediment inspired by the Polish and German Baroque (“as if a grand tourist had spent time in the Hapsburg empire on the way home.”) It has a simple plan with a through hall / drawing room.
